After the success of Ultraman: Towards the Future, Tsuburaya wanted to continue their strong of international shows and set their sights on American to launch the country's own Ultraman series. Thus, they teamed up with a start-up studio known as Major Havoc Studios, who promised to produce the show if Tsuburaya financed it.
