Aside from premiering on the exact 35th anniversary date of Skyrider’s debut, there’s nothing too notable to note about Drive’s production history. Riku Sanjo, the head writer of W returned to helm the show. The most remarkable thing Drive had going for it was being the first series since Black Rx to have its lead hero drive a car rather than a motorcycle. Lastly, and perhaps most importantly, Drive’s biggest hurtle was coming after the masterpiece that was Kamen Rider Gaim. Is this a series worth riding in? Or should you drive right past it?
