In 2016, Blumhouse had revealed that they have acquired the rights to the Halloween franchise from Miramax and had teamed up with Universal to make a new film that was going to be a direct sequel to the original film and ignore even Halloween II. This was a bold move given how ingrained people are with having Laurie and Michael be siblings and Jaime Lee Curtis signed on to reprise the role of Laurie once again while John Carpenter produced the film. It was the reunion fans had initially hoped for back when H20 was announced. However, the question is, is this new venture into the Halloween franchise a real treat for fans of the series similarly to when you find a Butterfinger in your Trick'or'Treat bag? Or it this one a Milk Dud? Watch to find out.
