After the abrupt cancelation of Dengekitai JAKQ, Toei teamed up with Marvel Comics to create a Tokusatsu-esque Spider-Man television series, which introduced the first ever live action transforming giant robot. This concept was met with massive success, so much so that Toei decided to have a giant robot featured in what would become known as the Super Sentai franchise.
